² Abraham gave the gene⁷ to Isaac⁸. Isaac gave the gene to Jacob⁹. Jacob gave the gene to Judah¹⁰ and his brothers¹¹. ³ Judah gave the gene to Perez¹² and Zerah¹³ from Tamar¹⁴. Perez gave the gene to Hezron¹⁵. Hezron gave the gene to Ram¹⁶. ⁴ Ram gave the gene to Amminadab¹⁷. Amminadab gave the gene to Nahshon¹⁸. ¹⁸ Of Jesus Christ the genesis thus has been. Mary, his mother, was engaged to Joseph. Before coming together⁵⁴ them, it was discovered in belly⁵⁵ she is having⁵⁶ out of the Holy Spirit. ¹⁹ Joseph, her man, being righteous and not willing⁵⁷ her to expose, wills to untie⁵⁸ her away latently⁵⁹. ²⁰ At this his impassioning⁶⁰, behold, an angel of the Lord in a dream appeared to him, saying, Joseph, son of David, not you should fear to receive Mary as your woman⁶¹, because what is it in her is from the Holy Spirit. ²¹ She will bear a son, and you will call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. ²² This whole⁶² became⁶³ to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet⁶⁴, saying, ²³ Behold, the virgin will have⁶⁵ in belly and will bear a son, and they will call his name Immanuel⁶⁶, which is translated, with us God⁶⁷. ²⁴ When Joseph woke up from his sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord had prescribed⁶⁸ him and received his woman, ²⁵ and knew her not until she brought forth a son, and he called his name Jesus.
